Rocker Switches

Marine Rocker Switches

A rocker switch is a convenient and practical way to activate various mechanisms and shift between different working modes. Instead of several buttons requiring more space on the dashboard or in other places, you use a single switch that may have two or three positions. Depending on its design and functionality, this part may feature a different number of terminals, lighting indicators, and operating algorithms. Like push button switches, their rocker counterparts are available in several types including SPST, SPDT, and DPDT models (short for Single Pole Single Throw, Single Pole Double Throw, and Double Pole Double Throw, respectively).

An SPST switch is the simplest; it has a single "On" position and can control just one circuit by means of two terminals, the input and output one. The SPDT type has two output terminals and "On" positions enabling you to control two separate circuits. If without indicator lamps, such a model usually has three terminals. As for the DPDT modifications, they normally have six terminals, two input and four output ones. On our virtual shelves, you can choose from numerous rocker switches for your vessel, which are available in all the abovementioned types and can be waterproof, depending on the model.
