Sea Dog Marine Gear

The history of the Sea Dog company can be traced back to the early 1920s. It was founded by Hans “Action” Broson Sneve who worked as a sales representative for a number of marine hardware manufacturers. He came up with a brilliant idea of displaying his products on a sea vessel, in the environment they were made for. He ordered a 55-foot power cruiser boat, which was built by Stephens Bros. Boat Building Company, and called it Sea-Dog. Sneve cruised it along the Pacific Coast from Alaska to Mexico, displaying his products in harbors along the coastline.

This innovative marketing strategy turned out to be extremely effective, and the H.A.B. Sneve Company was growing fast. In 1960, after the founder’s retirement, his nephew, Eldon Nysether, took over the reins and renamed the company Sneve-Nysether, Inc. Today, Eldon's sons, Mark and Brad are managing the family business. The company that is now known as the Sea Dog Corporation is based in Everett, Washington and continues its rapid expansion offering shipbuilding companies and retailers an ever-growing assortment of high-quality marine gear, hardware, and accessories. New and redesigned Sea Dog products are always presented on the biggest trade shows.

Year after year, the company receives multiple awards for its high supply chain standards and innovative marketing philosophy.
