There are many boat tubing applications when it comes to a boat building or restoration project. It is used in rails, canvas top frames, bow rails, just to name a few. Stainless steel tubing is a quality and corrosion-resistant solution that works for both fresh- and saltwater use. Stainless steel tubing won’t rust or fade, and it is strong enough to withstand loads. We offer ready-to-install handrail kits that feature fittings and installation hardware. Also, we’ve got everything needed to help you complete your custom project. We carry handrail tubing and ready-to-mount handrails, hinged rail tees, handrail stanchions, rail clamps, and more!
Any boat tubing construction has to be securely mounted, and that’s when you need high-quality, durable, and reliable rail fittings that can help you build a rigid and solid bow or handrail. There are two standard rail fitting sizes that are widely used on different boat applications. Smaller powerboats usually require 7/8 inch diameter fittings, while large power- and sailboats employ 1-inch diameter mounts to secure the tubing. There are several material options. Tubing mounts are available in stainless steel (316 grade) and zinc-aluminum alloy, a.k.a. Zamak. Zamak is recommended for use in the freshwater environment, while stainless steel is good for saltwater.
