Trolling is a method of fishing with several fishing lines. Unlike trawling that implies using a net, trolling can be used for active recreation. A boat with fishermen can move slowly and pull these lines or stay in a stationary position. Outfitted with lures, fishing lines are drawn deep into the water, and this depth depends on what you are going to catch. In general, trolling is used to catch pelagic fish such as mackerel, salmon, and some others. Some additional equipment can be used; for instance, a downrigger can run the lures deeper than many other methods of fishing from the boat, and a trolling motor (used besides the main means of propulsion) helps to maneuver more precisely.
