Boat Side Lights
Sidelights are required for powered boats and those under sail by the law. They are used to indicate the port (left) and starboard (right) side of a boat. Port lights are red, while starboard ones are green. They are visible at 112.5 degrees. The required visibility range is determined by the length of your vessel. As an example, if your craft is less than 39.4 feet, you should install the units which are visible from at least one nautical mile. Boats that are longer than that but less than 65.7 feet should display lights visible from two nautical miles.
The size of a vessel also determines whether you can combine sidelights into a single bi-color light or not. Whatever your needs, we have you covered with a wide range of options to choose from. Our offerings are sourced from the most prominent brands such as Aqua Signal, Hella Marine, Perko, and many others that you can rely on in terms of quality and durability. The housing can be made from aluminum, chrome-plated brass, plastic, stainless steel, and other materials with high resistance to corrosion. On our digital shelves, you will also find a variety of portable bi-color lights that can be used for collision avoidance instead of a flashlight or spotlight which are allowed for smaller boats.
