Navionics® MSD/NAV+WE - Navionics+ US West microSD Format Electronic Chart

As of this point, I'm still learning about the device. I've plugged the micro SD in to my Lowrance and found that on Lake Anna, the device would allow me to go right to some shallow water - that I know is not navigable. I have a friend at work who believes it's not set up correctly if it would allow me to do that. Hopefully my buddy will come to the house and help me out with it. I did learn what "Return to Vessel" means now - that was helpful. I just need some on-board training, probably.

I received the MSD and SD card on time or before stated and installed it with no problem. Have only used on Clinton Lake, near De Witt, Illinois. The Hummingbird Lakemaster Plus card I ordered for Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska has just 10 and 20 ft contour lines and was totally inaccurate. I was told the Navionics had much more detail. It does but it is totally inaccurate as well! I’m buying a Hummingbird Zero Line card for my Hummingbird Helix 9 SI 3GN and mapping the main Areas of the lake with Auto Chart Live and creating an accurate contour map which I can then use - pilot link to follow an accurate contour. I should have ordered a Minnesota lakemaster plus instead of the Navionics all USA as I will only fish Illinois, Missouri, and Minnesota. I doubt I’ll ever use the Navionics once I order the Minnesota lakemaster plus which will allow me to follow contour lines. Nothing wrong with Navionics but with I pilot link stick with Hummingbird lakemaster even though they don’t have a USA card and, yes you might have to spend a few more dollars on cards.
