M73 6W RF Black Handheld VHF Radio by Icom®. The M73’s ergonomic design fits easily in the user’s hand and is a rugged, durable radio. The large screen and high intensity LCD offers bright, easy to read characters. Yacht customers benefit from the optional VOX headset and adapter option that allows someone handling dock lines to use both hands, while docking the boat, simultaneously communicating with the captain.

IPX8 Advanced Waterproofing
The IC-M73 continues to offer Icom’s best waterproof protection. The radio has been tested to survive after being submersed in 1.5m (4.9ft) depth of water for 30 minutes. Use this radio in the rain, snow or any other severe weather conditions!

VOX Function for Hands Free Operation
With the OPC-1392 headset adapter cable you can use a variety of optional HS-94, HS-95 or HS-97 headsets. The IC-M73 has VOX (Voice Operated Transmit) capability for hands-free operation. Also, the VOX gain and VOX delay time are adjustable.

Warranty

Amateur Receivers

All amateur/receiver products except for the 7800 radio and the R9500 receiver have a one (1) year warranty from factory defects and workmanship including accessories (batteries, wall chargers, antennas). The 7800 and the R9500 both have a two (2) year warranty. Amateur accessories come with a one (1) year warranty.

Marine

All marine handhelds, CommandMics, and VHF fixed mounts come with a three (3) year waterproof warranty from factory defects and workmanship with a one (1 ) year warranty for accessories (battery, antenna). Single side-band radios and tuners have a two (2) year non-waterproof warranty.

Land Mobile

Land Mobile portable or mobile radios come with a standard two (2) or three (3) year warranty from factory defects and workmanship depending on the model. There is a one (1) year warranty on Icom America Systems products and all accessories.

Land mobile customers have the option to purchase extended warranties at the time of purchase and up to 60 days following their purchase for periods of one (1), two (2), or three (3) years. Extended warranty is just an extension of the radio’s normal warranty and doesn’t cover anything additional.

Avionics

All handheld radios have a three (3) year warranty from factory defects and workmansip with one (1) year for accessories (batteries, wall chargers, antennas). Panel mount radios have a two (2) year warranty with one (1) year for accessories.

Accessories

Accessories purchased independently of any other product have a one (1) year warranty from factory defects and workmanship.

The warranty period for all products begins from the original end-user’s purchase date. Warranties may be transferred but will not be extended past the original warranty period.
