Started back in the late 1970s, Windline is a Californian company that literally revolutionized the market of boarding ladders. They introduced the first telescopic marine ladder that turned out to be very successful among boat manufacturers and yacht owners; it eventually superseded most of the designs existing at the time. Currently, the brand belongs to Lobostar Inc. that is also located in California and crafts a wide range of stainless steel products. Actually, Windline boat ladders are still the company's bestsellers and include not only telescoping but also folding and many other models available in various sizes.
Most Windline ladders are made of high-grade 304 or 316 electro-polished stainless steel, yet there are several aluminum models. Available in various refined designs, the ladders have different widths, lengths, and number of steps that can be covered with plastic. Some variants feature a reinforced design for special applications, plastic molded steps, urethane straps, rubber tips to protect the hull, and other elaborate constructions aimed at convenience, safety, and longevity. There are pontoon, stern mount, pocket, over- and under-platform ladders, slide mount versions, and more.
