TACO Marine warrants to the original purchaser of its products that should any product be proven defective in material or workmanship within one (1) year of original purchase, it will be repaired or replaced without charge, subject to the performance guarantees stated in this warranty.
The TACO Marine one year limited warranty excludes TACO Marine Rub Rail, TACO Marine Sport Fishing, and Zwaardvis pedestal products.
Five year limited warranty: TACO Marine Rub Rail Products.
TACO Marine warrants to the original purchaser of its rub rail products that should any product be proven defective in material or workmanship within five years of original purchase, it will be repaired or replaced without charge, subject to the performance guarantees stated in this warranty.
These products are intended for pleasure crafts, used for recreation. Exposure to harsh marine environments requires all products to be rinsed with fresh water after use and be regularly maintained.
TACO Marine guarantees the performance of these products as follows:
- Aluminum products are guaranteed against fading of anodized finish, corrosion, except for non-anodized surfaces resulting from cutting, machining, tight radius bending, scratching, metal to metal contact or other exposure of the base aluminum. This guarantee does not extend to corrosion resulting from galvanic reaction (improper electrical grounding). Slight fading or dullness of finish over time is a normal occurrence of weathering and does not constitute a defect;
- Vinyl extrusions are guaranteed against significant fading, cracking or swelling and significant reduction of plasticity, modulus, tensile strength and dimensional integrity. Slight color variation is a normal occurrence of weathering and does not constitute a defect;
- Stainless steel products are guaranteed against loss of luster, corrosion and rust, except that resulting from cutting, machining, scratching or metal to metal contact. This guarantee does not extend to corrosion or rust from galvanic reaction (improper electrical grounding). Slight luster variation over time is a normal occurrence of weathering and does not constitute a defect.
TACO Marine’s liability and purchaser’s exclusive remedy for damages shall not be greater than the purchase price of the actual product claimed to be defective and Taco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, present or prospective profits, reliance expenditures or commitments, reputation, goodwill or claims of third parties.
During this warranty period, your TACO Marine product will either be repaired or replaced without charge to the original purchaser, when returned prepaid and insured with proof of purchase date.
This warranty does not apply to any product that has been damaged through alteration, mishandling, misuse, neglect or accident, unless otherwise stipulated. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied and no persons or representative is authorized to assume for the company any other liability in connection with the sale of this product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damage, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
Three-year limited warranty: TACO Marine Sport Fishing Products.
TACO Marine warrants its sport fishing products to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Should they be proven defective in material or workmanship within three years of original purchase, they will be repaired or replaced without charge, subject to the performance guarantees stated in this warranty.
These products are intended for pleasure crafts, used for recreation. Exposure to harsh marine environments requires all products to be rinsed with fresh water after use and be regularly maintained.
This warranty does not include the following: damage by collision, faulty or incorrect release clips, damage of components due to corrosive cleaners or lubricants, damage as a result of a combination of rough seas and high speeds, and failure to wash off salt water. This warranty is void if product has been damaged by neglect, unreasonable use, improper service and failure to follow maintenance guidelines.
TACO Marine’s liability and purchaser’s exclusive remedy for damages shall not be greater than the purchase price of the actual product claimed to be defective and Taco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, present or prospective profits, reliance expenditures or commitments, reputation, goodwill or claims of third parties.
