SOLAS, founded in 1986, is one of the most reputed names in the boating industry, which offers products for stern & outboard drive and impellers for jet boats and personal watercraft. Utilizing extensive research & development, state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, and realistic testing technologies (composition, salt spray, rubber torque testing machines, etc.), the company produces world-class watercraft propellers. SOLAS boat propellers are manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials to be used directly in sea water.
All of the propellers offered by SOLAS undergo a state-of-the-art development process. After a range of theoretical calculations, geometrical designs, prototype manufacturing & testing, and various marine tests, SOLAS propellers exceed all of their customers’ expectations. A variety of modern CAD / CAM and CAE technologies are utilized to ensure that precision prototyping and tooling are used for all products. The company’s success stems from the pursuit of excellent quality in all of its production processes.
The company uses materials like aluminum alloys and stainless steel for manufacturing their propellers. Other materials used include nickel alloys, bronze, titanium, etc., which are 10-15% lighter and offer greater structural integrity and strength. SOLAS manufactures its propellers by attaching a certain number of blades to the hub’s perimeter, by forging or welding all of the components together, with forged blades being more reliable and offering higher strength. Solas stainless propellers are manufactured with sections of identical helicoidal surfaces, which act together and rotate in the water with a screw effect. SOLAS considers its mission to be among the finest outfitters of propeller products and gear for recreation.
