Marine Shore Power Adapters
Shore power gives boaters numerous opportunities and allows them to enjoy such creature comforts as air conditioning, microwaves, heaters, and other appliances requiring high current to operate. Many boats use two onboard electrical networks, the DC and AC one, and the latter is specifically designed to be powered from a marine pedestal or similar device having special power outlets. Commonly, there are three types of such receptacles depending on their power and voltage: 30A 125V, 50A 125V, and 50A 250V. For safety reasons, these outlets differ by their designs.
30 Amps are usually enough for smaller boats, while bigger ones often use 50A, and all of them come equipped with the corresponding male or female inlets. However, in some cases, a pedestal provides amperage or connection that doesn't fit a boat, and there may be some issues with the right type of sockets. In order to resolve them, there are marine shore power adapters enabling you to get energy even if your power cord doesn't fit a pedestal. Besides, there are Y-adapters allowing you to split total amperage and send it to two different lines that can be used together or by turn, without having to connect/disconnect the socket. All these and other kinds of power adapters are available in our online store.
