Product Details

Helm Tilt Mechanism for NFB, Rack, Safe-T II, HPS Helms (SH91800P) by SeaStar Solutions®. Tilt Steering is an option for all mechanical steering systems. Tilt allows the wheel to be moved in 48° arc, in five 12° increments. Tilt helms are similar in appearance to standard mechanical helms, except for the steering shaft. Tilt helms have a flat ended shaft with a cross hole for connection to the "universal joint" in the tilt mechanism (Standard helm shafts have a threaded end).

Chances are when you take the helm, put your boat in gear and ease out of your slip, you can thank SeaStar Solutions. When you're running at wide-open throttle and have to execute a turn, you can thank SeaStar Solutions. When you can do it all day and still feel relaxed and in command as you head for home, you can thank SeaStar Solutions.

1" Play at Outdrive
Pushing the sterndrive by hand at back of boat, there is 1" side to side play on drive. Tiller inside is not loose. Cable tube and swivel block do not move. Cable goes in and out at tube, allowing the back and forth on stem drive movement, but wheel is motionless and no feedback felt.. How much play should there be on a 4.2 ratio nfb rotary clutch? If this can be fixed my rating climbs from so-so to super!
