Marine Rectifiers & Regulators
The starting and charging systems utilized in cars, boats, and other means of transport can greatly differ, although they are based on the same working principle. Smaller boats with an outboard engine often use a mechanical pull starter instead of its electric counterpart, a boat can work with or without a battery, and a stator can be installed as a source of electrical energy instead of an alternator. But whether the vessel's engine has an alternator or stator, the assembly typically works together with a voltage regulator, rectifier, or module combining both of these parts.
The point is that initially, both alternators and stators produce alternating current (AC) that has to be rectified and regulated to become a stable DC used by the ignition system and many other assemblies. Respectively, the rectifier is responsible for converting AC into DC, while the regulator helps to keep the voltage at the necessary, stable level. Malfunctions related to these components are fraught with affected engine performance or even stalling, not to mention possible issues with the vessel's electrics and electronics. In order to address or avoid them, keep the starting & charging system in good condition, and if you need new products, they are available in our marine rectifiers & regulators inventory.
