The Trolling Motor Tie Ba is 1/2" thick and along with the drive bracket composed entirely of stainless steel. Extremely heavy duty. The rod is fully threaded so it can be cut for custom installations. Up to 40HP.

Well Made Part................HOWEVER!
This is a well made steering kit, hoevwer, the directions for installation are terrible. All they give you is an exploded diagram of the kits parts. NOT WHAT TO DO WITH THEM. If you have mechanical around boats you can figure it out, but at first it takes a bit. Most of the stuff you can figure out, but they don't tell you how to mount to the hydraulic steering, how to cut the rod (only how the ends screw on), etc. I replaced the bolts with muti hole 3/8" hitch pins so I can disconnect the link arm from the main motor anytime I want in seconds. I would recommend this kit and give it 5 stars, if it came with well thought out directions. After putting this one on I could write directions for them in minutes.
