Product Details

11" Setback Stainless Steel Adjustable Motor Bracket (550408SS) by Panther®. Adjustable Stainless Steel outboard motor bracket. Works with 4-Stroke motors up to 15hp or 2-Stroke motors up to 20hp, max weight 132lbs. Twist-knob Safety Locks provide increased torque rating while helping secure bracket in place. Built extra-tough and extra-wide for 2ndary, higher-torque, four-stroke engines. Motor's weight is counterbalanced by heavy-duty stainless steel torsion springs for easy lifting. The 55-0408SS boasts a 2" thick, weatherproof and maintenance-free polypropylene mounting board along with aircraft-type stainless steel hardware. Four-position lock bar and 11" of travel allows for better range of trim adjustment letting you fine tune motor height for optimal performance. Rated for long or short shaft engines. Setback: 8-3/4" in the up position and 14" in the down position.

Perfect!!
Have a 50hp motor w/out power trim and tilt - really runs great, but the "tilt assist" stopped assisting. The cylinder alone cost about 2/3s of one these, so decided to give this a go. Got it hooked up last night, and it's flawless. I really wanted to be able to trim the boat on longer runs fishing, so should be smoother and dryer now.

Great Product
Other than the fiber block having to be modified to allow me to mount my 4hp Merc outboard (it was too thick), the plate worked out great. I needed to raise the outboard to get above the transom corner on my new boat, and it worked perfectly.

Excellent Product
Bought the Panther 55 for a pontoon boat and am very pleased. It is a well made product, it was very easy to install and works well. Expensive, but I feel it is worth it.

Time to Fish
Panther trim and tilt works great. Easy to install on a 1986 Lowe 17 commander didn't have to drill at all. Great service from BOATiD. Delivered right on time.

Great Bracket
The bracket is well built. I wanted something a little more stout to carry the motor during trailering (not recommend by manufacturer). This bracket was rated at over 230lbs and easily holds my Mercury 9.9 xl 4 stroke. It provides just the right amount of tension to easily raise and lower the motor. I mounted it in such a way that the motor can be secured to the transom during the trailering to alleviate stress on the bracket. So far I am very happy with the bracket. I hope to give it the sea trials in a few weeks.
