Limited Warranty
WATERCRAFT
The hull and deck of any Old Town watercraft is covered by a Limited Lifetime warranty. Lifetime is defined as the lifetime of the boat based on the original purchase date.
PDL DRIVE
Old Town award-winning PDL Drive is backed by a five (5) year limited warranty. This warranty covers material defects in workmanship and materials on the PDL Drive for a period of five years from date of purchase. Please contact customer service for all warranty claims related to the PDL Drive.
MINN KOTA MOTOR- LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY
Johnson Outdoors Watercraft Inc. warrants to the original retail purchaser only that the Minn Kota motor on your new Old Town watercraft will be materially free from defects in materials and workmanship appearing within two (2) years after the date of purchase. Old Town will (at Old Town option) either repair or replace, free of charge, any parts found by Old Town to be defective during the term of this warranty. Such repair, or replacement shall be Old Town sole and exclusive liability and the sole and exclusive remedy of the purchaser for breach of this warranty.
This limited warranty does not apply to products that have been used commercially or for rental purposes. This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, blemishes that do not affect the operation of the product, or damage caused by accidents, abuse, alteration, modification, shipping damages, acts of God, negligence of the user or misuse, improper or insufficient care or maintenance. DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE USE OF OTHER REPLACEMENT PARTS NOT MEETING THE DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ORIGINAL PARTS WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. The cost of normal maintenance or replacement parts which are not in breach of the limited warranty are the responsibility of the purchaser. Prior to using products, the purchaser shall determine the suitability of the products for the intended use and assumes all related risk and liability. Any assistance Old Town provide to or procure for the purchaser outside the terms, limitations or exclusions of this limited warranty will not constitute a waiver of the terms, limitations or exclusions, nor will such assistance extend or revive the warranty. Old Town will not reimburse the purchaser for any expenses incurred by the purchaser in repairing, correcting or replacing any defective products or parts, except those incurred with Old Town prior written permission. Old Town AGGREGATE LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO COVERED PRODUCTS IS LIMITED TO AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO THE PURCHASER'S ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR SUCH PRODUCT.
OLD TOWN ACCESSORIES- LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
Warranty coverage on all Old Town accessories, including Life Jackets and Carlisle Paddles is one (1) year from the original purchase date.
OTHER ACCESSORIES
Old Town offer complementary accessories that are manufactured and warranted by other companies. The manufacturer warranties for those accessories are found below: Minn Kota Battery Chargers, Malone Carts, Malone Trailers, Malone Racks, Malone Bed Extenders, Empty heading.
BLEMS & RENTALS - DURATION OF LIMITED WARRANTIES
Blemished boats or those marked as BLEMs, the hull and deck are covered for five (5) years from the original purchase date.
For standard watercraft used for rental, demonstration, resort or outfitter purposes the warranty is ninety (90) days from date of delivery by the dealer to the consumer.
For watercraft built as special “outfitter grade” boats used for rental, demonstration, resort or outfitter purposes, the hull and deck are covered for one (1) year from date of delivery.
