Although mariners take all the necessary measures to prevent any danger on board, no one can guarantee that everything will go right during the trip. There are situations when passengers have to leave the sinking boat. In this case life rafts are of great help. They should be capable of keeping afloat for at least 30 days no matter what the weather conditions are. We offer a big choice of reliable life rafts and other survival gear.

The life raft has a capacity of at least 6 and typically up to 25 people, while big passenger vessels have life rafts designed for up to 150 people. Inflatable rafts have become extremely popular due to their compact size. These survival devices should protect boat occupants from the negative effects of the environment and make those in trouble be noticed by the rescuers. When making a decision what life raft to buy, consider your boating style and the kind of the vessel. Coastal ISO 9650-2, Offshore ISO 9650, SOLAS Transoceanic etc. – whichever class of a life raft you are searching for, you are sure to find it here.

The rafts come in fluorescent colors that significantly improve visibility from a distance, are equipped with a buoyant knife, sea anchor, rescue quoit, and a hand pump. They are also available in multiple variations to make boat occupants as comfortable as possible while awaiting help. Large openings and oversize zippers provide an easy access to the raft during the evacuation. Storage options (valise or canister) are also an important factor to be considered. The canister is preferable if you want to keep your raft on deck, while the valise is a better choice if stored below deck.

Leaving the sinking boat doesn’t ensure your safe return on land. Weather conditions, lack of drinking water or food, impossibility to transmit a distress call pose sometimes an even greater danger to life. But experienced mariners know how to cope with such situations. Survival gear is made just for the same kind of emergencies. Our website offers drag devices used to stop the vessel during the storm, survival suits made to protect a person from water and cold, survival supplies such as food bars and water pouches, survival watermakers that turn salt water into drinking water eliminating about 90% of its salt content.
