Throughout the service life of a boat, its hull can get minor or more serious damage in many different ways. Scratches, dings, or cracks may occur while anchoring, mooring, trailering, etc., and some damages can affect not only the appearance of your boat but also its safety. Fortunately, the modern chemical industry offers many remedies enabling you to restore your vessel and get back its initial integrity and beauty. The hulls of a great number of power and sailing boats are made of fiberglass, an excellent material combining glass fiber and polyester resin. It needs special compounds for repair, and many of them are available on our virtual shelves.
In our boat fiberglass & resin repair collection, you will find one- and two-component sealers, fillers, epoxy resins, putties, hardeners, glass fabrics, and other products you may need for the repair job. Most repair compounds and fillers are based on epoxy, an extremely strong and durable material resistant to water, which comes reinforced with glass fibers in some kits. Actually, it can also be used for the repair of aluminum and wooden hulls, both above and below the waterline. If you need more cure time when working with large surfaces, there are special hardeners that act slower.
