Boat Fenders

Boat fenders are a proven way to protect the vessel's board from scratches, scuffs, dents, and other damages that may occur during mooring or rafting operations. These useful accessories are available in different types and designs which have to be properly chosen in accordance with boat size, mounting type, and some other parameters. A cylindrical shape is considered the most popular, and such models come with or without longitudinal ribs for extra strength. Meanwhile, some other designs may be more preferable in your particular case; for instance, you can choose from rectangular contour fenders to avoid the risk of rolling up or pushing the fender aside.

As for the way of mounting, there are fenders with one or two eyes, along with the models passing the line through the center or other parts. Besides, there is one more important factor to take into account: choosing between pneumatic (inflatable) or foam fenders. The former are lighter and usually more affordable, yet they can perfectly resist deformation. The latter are considered to be better energy absorbers, and they don't deflate when punctured.
