Marine safety equipment includes lots of products such as life rafts, life jackets, food rations, signaling devices, gas analyzers, and so on, and most of them have to meet the specific requirements set by SOLAS or USCG. Datrex was founded in 1970 in Miami, and today, one of its numerous offices is still there. Production facilities and headquarters are located in Kinder, Louisiana where the company develops and manufactures literally everything needed for survival at sea. All of its products are divided into two large groups meant for commercial and recreational applications. The former is commonly oriented toward the use in offshore and international waters under USCG/SOLAS.
