Marine Carburetors

Like a hundred years ago, the main principle used in carburetors remains the same – it's the Venturi effect. However, these devices have greatly evolved, received numerous improvements aimed at higher efficiency, and split into several categories that include automotive and marine carbs, among some others. Often made by the same manufacturers, many models of those two kinds look quite similar, and some boaters even outfit their vessels with an automotive carb, although this way is considered to be wrong and even dangerous. There are minor but crucial differences such as a straight shape of a bowl vent and a missing overflow hose in car models.

When something goes wrong with a fuel pump, gasoline can leak out from such a carb and get into the bilge, which is fraught with fire. Besides, there are certain adjustments oriented toward the boat's motor operation and the loads it encounters. So, whether you need a new boat carburetor or just some replacement parts to restore the existing one, choose only specially developed marine products. Many of them can be found in our store; we carry numerous carbs by Holley, Edelbrock, and other brands. Fitted with an electric, manual, or mechanical choke, they are presorted according to their flow rates and some other parameters for your convenience.
