Beckson deck plates are some of the most popular offerings. There are pry-out, screw-out, and other types of watertight deck and access plates available in different diameters and textures. Those having a diamond or pebble surface texture are generally installed in areas with foot traffic, while models with a smooth texture are meant for vertical surfaces. Their watertightness and compliance with the strictest standards are proved by challenging tests in which these plastic plates were loaded with 300 lbs, disassembled, reassembled, exposed to high-pressure water jets, and then submerged 6' for 24 hours – no leakage was observed.
Beckson portlights and opening ports enjoy great popularity with boaters as well.
