DHR Electric Vertical Mount Starboard Side Light by Weems & Plath®. This Dutch-made electric port side light is an elegant way to keep your vessel safe and compliant with maritime laws. The solid brass fixture is polished and lacquer finished to ensure a long-lasting shine. It is fitted with a red lens that designates port (left) side, and it can stand alone or hang. A green starboard (right) side light is also available (8311G/E). The manufacturer of this lamp, Den Haan Rotterdam (DHR), was founded in Rotterdam, Holland, in 1922. It began as a manufacturer of navigation and interior lighting for inland and seagoing vessels. All lamps, many of them replicas of old models, are handmade to commercial ship standards.

Weems & Plath Two-Year Warranty

Your Weems & Plath product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original purchase. Any defect caused by misuse, accident, tampering, or negligence of the user is not covered by this warranty. Caution: If your product is battery operated, movement damage caused by battery leakage is not covered under this warranty. A clock movement continues to pull voltage from the battery until the battery dies. Leaving a dead battery in place causes the battery to leak acid, which destroys the movement. For this reason, it is important to replace the battery once a year, even if the battery is not dead at the time of replacement. If the instrument is not in use, remove the battery to reduce the possibility of costly movement damage. Caution: The finish on brass or chrome instruments is not covered under warranty unless specifically noted (i.e. Endurance Collections). Fingerprints should be cleaned off immediately, and instruments should be wiped regularly with a soft cloth to keep the finish from pitting. To prolong the life of your instrument on a boat, Weems & Plath recommends the use of solar fan vents and removal from the boat when not in use to avoid the harsh marine environment. Buyer’s exclusive remedy in the event of a defect or nonconformity in the products is limited, at the option of seller, to the return of the product for repayment of the price or the repair of the product and replacement of the non-conforming or defective goods or parts. Weems & Plath shall not be liable for any indirect, special, exemplary, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of a defect or nonconformity in the product. The implied warranty of the merchantability and the implied warranty of fitness are excluded. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description on the face of this warranty.
