Any of Vico Marine’s Boat Vent products found to be defective (i.e. broken wing nut, cracked umbrella, broken washer or body) within 5 years of purchase and within the scope of normal use can be filed with Vico Marine for full replacement of broken part, or possible replacement of the Boat Vent 2 or 3.
VICO MARINE DOES NOT WARRANTY ANY DAMAGE TO THE COVER DURING IMPROPER INSTALLATION & TENTING OF COVER. During Installation, all products are required to be cut to size using scissors (no straight blades) with Vico Marine’s template or a designated circle cutter tool. Proper tenting of the boat cover needs to be taken into consideration to prevent your boat cover from pooling water or collecting debris. Any neglect by the user could lead to excess weight on the cover resulting in damage to the Boat Vent, cover, or boat. The type of cover material used should be considered during installation of the Boat Vent. The Boat Vent 2 can be used with or without a reinforcement piece. Materials 7 ounces or less, a reinforcement piece is recommended. Recommended torque setting (tightness) for the wing nut is 25 in / lbs. DO NOT INSTALL A REINFORCEMENT PIECE WITH THE BOAT VENT 3. This vent is specifically designed not to use reinforcement piece. Doing so may result in damage to the boat, cover, or vent due to slippage. VICO DOES NOT WARRANTY ANY BOAT VENT RELATED DAMAGE DURING IMPROPER TRAILERING AND STORAGE. Location of boat, how the boat cover is tied down (secured & tented), along with outside factors (i.e. weather, extreme cold, heavy snow, rain, ice) should be considered. Parking under or near an overhang, shed or tree could result in sudden or excess ice, snow or tree branches adding excess weight, resulting in damage to the boat, cover, boat vent or support pole. Improperly tying or securing the boat cover could result in pooling, loss of vent and poles while traveling, or damage to boat.
Any of Vico Marine’s Cam Lock Support Pole products found to be defective (i.e. support pole does not hold 160 lbs. of downward pressure even after adjustment, broken or cracked collar, or broken adjuster) within 1 year of purchase and within the scope of normal use can be filed with Vico Marine for full replacement of broken part, or possible replacement of the support pole.
VICO DOES NOT WARRANTY ANY DAMAGE RELATED TO SUPPORT POLE INSTALLATION AND NEGLIGENCE ON PART OF THE OWNER. Proper tenting is important to the life of the support pole. For maximum hold, poles should be firmly tented in a straight up and down position under the cover. Uneven side load can result in breakage of pole or damage to the boat and cover. It is recommended to do monthly inspection of the cam lock flip collar (regularly check the tightness of the T15 torx screw located on flip collar) aluminum tubing, and condition of the crutch tip (*installed with the washer firmly seated on bottom of crutch tip). Failure to do so could lead to damage of the boat, pole, or cover. Care should be taken when poles are not in use, to make sure they do not get lost into the water.
VICO DOES NOT WARRANTY ANY SUPPORT POLE RELATED DAMAGE DURING IMPROPER TRAILERING OR STORAGE. Location of boat, how the boat cover is tied down (secured & tented), along with outside factors (weather, i.e. extreme cold, heavy snow, rain, ice) should be considered. Parking under or next to an overhang, shed or tree can result in excess ice, snow or tree branches adding sudden or excess weight, resulting in damage to the boat, cover, or support pole. Improperly tying down or securing the boat cover could result in water pooling, loss of the poles while traveling, or a “hammer effect” that can cause damage to the boat.
