Double Bend AngleGuard (AG226) by NavPod®. 12" Wide 1.25" Double Bend for one InstrumentPod and a GP2020/GP2030/GP2060/or GP2090 SailPod below. Double Bend AngleGuards are designed to fit an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and SailPod below on the angled section. Double Bend AngleGuards are available in 1" or 1.25" diameter stainless steel tubes. This model is commonly used when upgrading a pedestal guard on an Edson steering system and some Lewmar (Whitlock) systems. The TP125 Top Plate is used when converting an Edson steering system from 1" diameter pedestal guard to a 1.25" diameter Double Bend AngleGuard.

NavPod AngleGuards are designed to upgrade sailboat steering systems to accommodate mounting of electronics onto NavPods. Edson is a popular manufacturer of steering systems who has always used a 9.5" wide pedestal guard. Most of their pedestal guards are 1" in diameter. Lewmar (formally Whitlock) also has manufactured steering systems that use the 9.5" wide format.
Because of the clean and secure method of concealing wires and the need to accommodate large connectors and heavy radar cables within the Stainless Steel tubes, NavPod recommends the larger 1.25" diameter AngleGuards. Often the existing Top Plate needs to be bored out or replaced with the TP125 to accommodate the larger diameter. NavPod supplies Polished Stainless Steel feet with all 1.25" AngleGuards.
Watertight Silicone SealKeeps rain and salt water spray off electrical connections on the back of electronics Tamperproof. Special fasteners and wrench are included that provide security and convenience to leave electronics on-board.

NavPod® is a brand child of Ocean Equipment that began producing NavPods in 1991. This first product was made specifically for Catalina Yachts, as a way to mount basic sailing instruments.
