Enclosed in a compact waterproof housing, Ikaros flares and parachute rockets feature high light intensity and burning duration. For use in the daytime, there are handheld and buoyant Ikaros smoke signals. Besides, the company offers a man overboard (MOB) signal; connected with a lifebuoy, it gets activated automatically when thrown overboard and starts to emit both light and smoke. As for Ikaros line throwers, they allow you to throw a line for ropes or cables between ships, or between a ship and a shore, in order to rescue people. The line has a length of more than 980 feet, and it shoots off thanks to a solid-fuel charge placed in a waterproof plastic container.
