Ice Buoy Radar Enhancer by Echomax®. EM400 bare array in welded 2mm stainless fitted to Canadian Coastguard Tower at Joncas's Island Off Natashquan which is located in Quebec on the Gulf of St Lawrence. The EM400 exceeds the IALA Regulation of 170m² as backup for lighthouses, lightships and major hazards. The EM400 recorded a staggering peak of 251m² at QinetiQ on 21st November 2001. EM400's have been supplied to the Canadian Customs and the Northern Lighthouse Authority for testing and possible siting on the Shetland Islands. In late 2013 the Canadian Coast Guard chose the EM400 array for their new batch of 300 buoys. They were very happy with the sea trials which they stated backed up our response data.
