Every boat with a cabin needs specific hardware that makes the experience on the water safer and more comfortable: louvered inserts, frames, door catches and stoppers, hangers, drawer pulls, and so on. Most of these accessories and parts combine aesthetic and practical functions. Metal accessories can be made of stainless steel, special zinc alloy, or even bronze and are often coated in chrome for more appeal. As for wooden parts, most of them are crafted from teak. Rich with oil, this kind of wood is widely used in nautical applications thanks to its unrivaled water and mildew resistance.
Good-looking and smooth, teak products are far from being cheap, but they are pleasant to touch or walk barefoot. If maintained properly, teak decking can serve for several decades, so it's a good investment from any perspective. Safety is another, more practical aspect concerning boat hardware. On rough water or during a storm, it's better to affix the door in a certain position to avoid injuries, and door stoppers and holders perfectly cope with this task while protecting the walls from potential damages caused by an open door. A wide range of abovementioned products made by Jefco Manufacturing, SeaTeak, Perko, and other companies are available in our online store.
