It goes without saying that all marine anchoring systems have to be reliable and practical. Maxwell anchor windlasses and capstans are not only extremely reliable and durable but also good-looking and stylish, by far not the last factors when it comes to luxury yachts and recreational boats. A high level of expertise allows the company to offer ultimate anchoring solutions even at the design or building stage of a vessel, taking into account such specific requirements as static holding, short- and long-term pull, type of power (electric or hydraulic), and other crucial factors.
Actually, the company carries everything you may need for trouble-free anchoring. It supplies both vertical and horizontal automatic windlasses and capstans for all possible bow configurations and locker spaces. Designed with broad use of quality stainless steel and following special patented technology developed by Maxwell itself, these products employ such solutions as the Wave Design™ for a chain wheel, Max-grip™ snag-free warping drum, and other achievements the company is renowned for. All the products are divided into several series. Vertical (RC line) and horizontal (HRC) windlasses are meant for the automatic handling of a rope/chain combination rode, while the traditional VW and VWC models were designed for chains only (except for the VW10). As for the VWC lineup, it includes standard and low-profile versions; the former can be equipped with an optional band brake.
