Today, sophisticated computers and specialized instrumentation also allow Ritchie Engineers to develop better and more efficient ways to build compasses. One of those developments is the Multiple Compass Filling Station designed by the company's Engineering Department and manufactured by Ritchie's own talented machinists.

Ritchie also uses the special Helmholtz coil machine, which allows us to set the magnetic field of their compasses according to which part of the world you're in.
