The Fusion Stereo downloads song information from your smartphone. Album and Artist names are derived from the folder names on your smartphone. Fusion recommends that folder names contain no more than 900 characters. Exceeding this limitation may cause the Fusion Stereo to become unresponsive.
It is possible to connect to several Bluetooth stereos simultaneously, however you will only be able to stream music (A2DP) to one at a time. Control and display of song information (AVRCP) will display on multiple head units, even though music will come from a single device. You will be able to select the stereo you are connected to from your smartphone (use the box/triangle symbol on iPhone).
This is useful if you have another device that you can control Bluetooth from, eg: a BT enabled watch. In this scenario, you can control the playback from your watch, whilst streaming music from a smartphone.
Other notes:
- Volume control may be controlled from your Bluetooth smartphone. When you switch between Bluetooth devices you need to be careful with volume matching.
- When you change audio source on Fusion 700 Series or MS-RA205 stereos, the Fusion Bluetooth module remains powered on and connected to your smartphone (even though the music is paused). Music playback will automatically resume when you switch back to the Bluetooth source.
Note: On some smartphones it may not be obvious you remain connected to the Fusion stereo and may cause confusion if you are trying to connect to another head unit.
Bluetooth performs best with line-of-sight operation. Ensure the music device is not covered or obstructed and is located near the Bluetooth module. To prevent interruption to audio streaming over Bluetooth it is recommended that the Discoverable feature is turned off after pairing your device to the Fusion Stereo. While displaying the Bluetooth Settings screen your smartphone will be searching for Bluetooth devices. This process may cause interruption to Bluetooth audio streaming. It is recommended you exit the Bluetooth Settings screen when not in use.
Browsing music collections from the Fusion Stereo is not supported over Bluetooth. Initial song and Playlist selection must be done on the media device. However the Fusion Stereo does provide basic playback control with the Play / Pause, Next and Previous keys. Forward and Rewind functions are not supported.
The availability of song information such as song title, artist name, track duration and album cover artwork is dependent on the capability of your phone and music application. Album cover artwork and Shuffle/Repeat Status icons are not supported over Bluetooth.
To support the display of song information on the Fusion stereo your smartphone must have Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3 or greater. Keep your smartphone up to date. For Bluetooth support Fusion recommends Android V4.3 or above.
Note: Not all smartphones implement full Bluetooth support. For a list of the Fusion supported smartphones refer to following table;
If you have installed the MS-BT200 Bluetooth module you will need to enable the source. This operation will be determined by the Tuner region you have selected.
Tuner Region - USA
When USA Tuner region is selected, press the menu button and select
Settings>Sources>Accessory then select the source to enable Bluetooth.

In these Tuner regions once the MS-BT200 is installed and connected the source will be available.
The Fusion MS-BT100 and MS-BT200 external Bluetooth modules are designed to provide Bluetooth audio streaming from a compatible smartphone or media player directly to your Fusion marine stereo. The MS-BT100 is connected to the AUX connector of your stereo. The MS-BT200 is connected to the Satellite Radio connector of your stereo.
Note: The MS-BT200 cannot be operated simultaneously with a Satellite Radio receiver. For installations where the Satellite Radio socket is not available the Fusion MS-BT100 audio only Bluetooth module is recommended.
The MS-BT200 supports control (Play/Pause/Next/Back) of the media device from the Fusion Stereo. Song information such as song title, artist name and duration are displayed, depending on the capability of your phone and music application.
Fusion Bluetooth modules do not provide phone call control. Hands free operation of the phone is not supported from the Fusion stereo.
To assign your remote to a specific Zone, follow these simple steps. Press and hold the "Mute" button for 5-6 seconds until the menu appears. Select "Assign Zone".
Select the Zone/s you wish to assign (Zone 1-2-3 or Zone 123 all) to the remote and confirm by pressing the Rotary Encoder
Press the Menu button to exit. Turn the remote off and re start the unit.
Fusion has identified an issue with the current SiriusXM connector utilized on the Fusion 700 Series Marine Entertainment systems. The connector on the MS-IP700 or MS-AV700 is not compatible with the SiriusXM Tuner. Fusion has created an interface adapter that will correct this problem. Do not attempt to connect the SiriusXM tuner into your marine stereo without using this new interface adapter.
To wire 2 x 4 Ohm speakers in Parallel to present a 2 Ohm load to the MS-AM702 Amplifier per channel. Simply follow the below diagram showing the Positive terminals from each speaker connected to each other and the same with the Negative terminals. Then connect the Positive and Negitive wires from the closest speaker to the Stereo.
As with all products with a chrome finish exposed to the harsh Marine environment, a little care will help to preserve the finish and prevent corrosion. Fusion recommends that you clean any salt water and/or salt residue from the remote with a damp cloth soaked in fresh water. Always fit the protective cover when not in use.
Fusion recommends that music folders on your Android smartphone contain no more than 300 files each. Exceeding this limitation may cause the phone to become unresponsive and the Fusion Stereo to reset the USB link to the phone. Note: Different operating systems and phones provide varying levels of support for MTP.
Samsung and HTC One Android phones do not provide song Artist and Album information for M4A files. The Fusion stereo will list M4A files under the Artist and Album browse categories but the files will be named "Unknown" . When the stereo starts playing the file the correct Artist and Album information will be displayed.
Music files must be located in a folder using one of the following names. The folder must be located in the root directory of your device.

My speakers are 300 watts “MAX” and 90 watts “Rated Power” what size amp do I need to drive them to achieve the best performance.
When you are choosing an amplifier to drive speakers or a Subwoofer you should use the “RMS” per channel ratings(Amplifier) and the “Rated Power”.
(Speaker/Subwoofer) as the reference for your choice. Always define which ratings you are comparing and try and get them as close as you can.
“Max/Peak” Power Rating
The “MAX/PEAK” power rating of a speaker is the amount of power that the speaker can handle in short bursts or peaks without causing permanent damage to the voice coil.If this rating is exceeded constantly you will risk burning the voice coil.
“Rated Power” Power Rating
The “Rated Power” rating of the speaker is generally considered to be the nominal constant power that the speaker will handle continuously without causing damage.
Therefore if your speakers are rated at 90 watts (Rated Power) you should drive them with an amplifier that is capable of supplying 90 watts RMS per Channel or as close to that as possible. That is not to say that an amp capable of a higher output cannot be used if the amplifier settings are managed responsibly realising the potential to overdrive your speakers exists. This rule also applies to using an amplifier that is under driving your speakers. Constantly driving a distorted signal from an overdriven Source to your speakers can cause damage to the voice coils.
The NMEA 2000 network will work properly as long as there is no more than 3 VDC drop in the supply voltage between the power source and the NMEA 2000 device located farthest from the power source on the NMEA 2000 network. To determine the voltage drop in your NMEA2000 network your certified NMEA 2000 installer will use the following equation:
Voltage Drop = Cable resistance (ohms/m) x Distance (from the battery to the farthest device, in metres) x Network Load x 0.1
Network Load equals the sum of Load Equivalent Numbers (LEN) between the battery and the end of the network. The LEN for each device should be visible on the device or provided in the device documentation.
The maximum length of a NMEA 2000 cable that is used to connect any device or accessory to a T-Connector is 6 metres (20 feet). If a 6 metre cable is not long enough to connect the device or accessory to the T-Connector, a longer NMEA 2000 backbone cable will need to be connected into the backbone of the NMEA 2000 network. This cable would be installed between two T-Connectors in the NMEA 2000 backbone. The distance between any two points on a NMEA 2000 network must not exceed 100 m (328ft).
NMEA 2000 is a set of marine electronics standards enabling a Multi-Talk/Multi-Listen network. This means, there can be different manufacturer's devices on a vessel sending and receiving data simultaneously.
This is an open network based on Controller Area Network. The network controls electronics, electrical, and engine data all on the same network. One advantage for NMEA 2000 is data and power can both be carried on one cable.
The data is transferred at 250 kilobytes a second which is fifty times faster than it is with NMEA 0183. NMEA 2000 incorporates standard connectors and cables for use among all manufacturers adhering to this standard. This makes NMEA 2000 a "Plug and Play" system with a real time data stream.
The Inline fuse should be fitted as close to the battery as possible and the rating (amperage) the same or higher than the total on board fusing of your Amplifier. This fuse is to protect the power cable from grounding and potentially starting a fire.
Yes you can but you need a high level to low level adaptor. We recommend the Fusion HL-02. This allows you to connect a pair of speaker output wires from the Head unit to the HL02 input wires, the voltage is then reduced to match the line input level of an amplifier and the RCA connector output can be connected to RCA cables and run to the amplifier.
Yes you can connect both wires together and directly to the battery if you do not have an ignition switch or another 12volt switched source. Keep in mind that the Head Unit will draw standby current while connected so an isolator switch is a good idea.
No. iPod / iPhone video playback is only supported when the Marine portable media Dock MS-DKIPUSB is connected to the MS-RA200. There is a composite video out RCA connection on the rear of the dock which enables Video playback to a compatible TV or Monitor.
