1949 would be the official birth year of the now famous Creme® worm that was made out of the perfect combination of vinyl, oils, and pigments to not only look and feel soft and alive but also stay that way when exposed to air over time. The demand soared; and the worm business quickly developed. Firstly, a small manufacturing plant was built in Akron and then, in the late 50s, Creme® opened a plant in Tyler, Texas. Today the company continues to produce the original Scoundrel worm as well as new and innovative products such as Lit'l Fishie, Mad Dad, Shrimp Tease, and Devil's Tongue.
